Understanding your mindset and how it can either help or hinder your progress as an author is essential to your success. Mindset does not only refer to your thoughts. However, it also includes your emotions. What you think is very important, but how you feel is just as important when you are writing a book. Thought and emotion can be powerful combinations that can work in your favor, or against, the goals you set for yourself with your writing.

Jane decided that she could not put off the book she had been meaning to write on her 40th Birthday. Jane knew it was a matter of 'now' or never and was determined to complete the book. Jane is a professional and was passionate about personal development. Jane planned her week and made time in her planner to start writing.

Three months later with only a few pages of notes and nothing concrete achieved, she approached me for help. It didn't happen despite her best efforts, and her strong mental determination to make this book a reality. She was a highly disciplined individual who was used to sticking to her plans. This was particularly disappointing for her. Not long after, she realized that even though she had written her thoughts about writing the book, she was feeling completely different about the whole thing. authors 21-day challenge

She was not sure she could write and didn't think she had anything to offer. She felt that she was not a candidate for publication and realized that willpower alone didn't work. She lost progress every time she tried to push harder. When she realized what was going on, she felt immense relief. The immense pressure she was feeling allowed her to release it. So, we worked together to release her anxiety so she could adopt an integrative and healthier approach to writing her books.

She was able to shift her thoughts and feelings onto a new level with the help of awareness and support. This ultimately allowed her to write more freely. She now enjoys writing more than ever, and she is making great progress on her manuscript. Jane's story isn't an isolated one. Your mentality can make or break you success when writing your book.
