The Taj Fisherman's Cove gave us a terrific first impression, of cool, calm professionalism when we arrived.

Searching around we were initially impressed by the huge pool with swim up bar, the lush gardens, and our beachfront cabin.

The food was excellent, specially at the beach side restaurant, where the seafood was out of this world.

We had been spoiled for decision with the breakfasts, there was meals for all nationalities, from The English to Indian, and Japanese, you'd never get bored!!

We had a beach cabin with an outdoors shower, fantastic views out to sea, and a terrific sitting area to delight in the views.

The beach was perfectly clean, and the sea did not look something like as polluted as we had been told to count on. In fact the water was fine.

The longer we stayed, the a great deal more we felt that there was a slight degree of arrogance from the staff who were never impolite in any way, but they nearly seemed smug. Getting said that the service was extremely good, while at times a little slow in the restaurants.

This is relatively much a 'children are welcomed hotel' at the weekends, so be prepared if you do not have any yourself for the descent of the masses, and I do signifies lot and lots. You could just about say overrun.

It also would be fair to point out that even though anything was especially clean, it was also quite dated. The bathrooms had been just about antique, and on closer inspection the hotel unquestionably requirements more than maintenance, it also wants updating, so that it comes up to the higher levels of other Taj hotels we have stayed in. I suppose it is India, and its nice to really feel just a tiny of the fading colonial grandeur!!

The hardest issue of all was to get a booking confirmed at The Taj Fisherman's Cove, but maintain persevering considering it is worth it at the finish. like us on facebook
