For as long as I can remember I always had spider phobia and it was something that I was desperate to overcome. Just seeing a picture or a video of a spider was enough to get me breaking out in a sweat, my hands would become clammy and my heart would begin to race.

There are many things that can cause Spider Phobia Cure or arachnophobia but mine was definitely caused by a childhood incident that still remains with me today. I was playing in the garden with my older brother when he let out a yelp and showed me a very small bite on his fingertip which had started to bleed. He pointed out a spider that was scurrying off into the mud and he said that it had bitten him.

It sounds silly but from that day on I've battled to overcome spider Phobia Cure and feel uncomfortable in enclosed gardens just in case I see a spider.

There are several ways to overcome spider phobia. Here are a few tried and tested ones:

1) Exposure to spiders and facing your fears. Take time to examine a spider but at a distance 2) Accept that spiders are unavoidable. They are part of the natural world and will always be around 3) Learn to identify spiders that are considered a danger and ones that are safe 4) Keep some toy spiders around if you can tolerate them and try and get used to them 5) If you see a spider on a wall, do not kill it or run away straight away. Familiarize yourself with it. 6) Hypnosis has been proven to be an effective cure so give it a try 7) Learn some good points about spiders. They do serve a useful purpose around the house and garden because they kill off a lot of bugs

I found that hypnosis was the best cure of spider phobia for me and I have to say I'm much better for it. Don't get me wrong, like most people I still have a healthy fear of spiders but I'd consider it a fear now and not a phobia.

Although I wouldn't go out of my way to pick up a spider or be near one, if I see one now I have a new found control and confidence Overcome Arachnophobia. I no longer break out in a sweat or have a racing heartbeat. I've managed to rationalize my fear and just accept that spiders will always be here and that there are very few that can cause me any real harm.
